Concealed Media gets exclusive access to HotBoy Shaq

ree

It’s not often that an artist will allow someone to drop in on a studio session, but a few weeks ago Concealed Media got exclusive access and pulled up on HotBoy Shaq at Digital Lab Recordings to discuss his work ethic, his clothing line, being incarcerated, his new album, and much more.

What sets artist apart in this industry is work ethic. A lot of people have talent but not everyone is willing to put the work in.

HotBoy Shaq puts in the work.

He said he’s in the studio at least four times a week. When discussing his new album, “Standing on Bidness”, scheduled to drop soon, Shaq stamped it as his best yet.

He said to him standing on businesses means taking care of your responsibilities.

“A lot of people may think standing on business means shooting a nigga or doing lil lame shit like that. My standing on business is being a man, taking care of your responsibilities, taking care of your family, that’s my definition of it. ,” he said. “So when I drop I’m going to let the world know my definition of it.”

When discussing those who inspired him to pursue a career in music, Shaq was quick to give praise to Boosie who was featured on his 2020 hit single “We Outside”. Shaq said being in the studio with the Baton Rouge native was mind-blowing.

“That shit was amazing because he acted like a regular nigga…like I knew him way before that,” he said. “We was was just kicking shit cooling and talking about about rap shit.”
