WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - On a recent episode of the Concealed Media podcast, hosts Andre, Rae'Dawn, and 2Bar Radio welcomed fashion stylist and designer Fitted by CKG, a Louisville native who’s built a reputation for dressing elite athletes and artists with bold, personalized looks.

CKG clarified early on that he does more than styling he also designs custom pieces. His unique approach blends original garments with high end brands, tailored to fit the personality and occasion of each client. “I can go get a piece that’s already made by me, and mix it with something from Saks or whatever they want personally,” he explained. “I do both designing and styling.”

With a client list that includes rappers Lil Durk, 6ix9ine, Kodak KT, and Auburn basketball star Johni Broome, CKG’s reach spans the NBA, NFL, and rising artists nationwide. “It’s a long list. I don’t even remember all of them off the top of my head,” he said, hinting at the demand he faces across the board. He credits Broome for helping him break into the college scene: “He’s one of the reasons I blew up in the college industry.”

He began his fashion journey in middle school selling clothes from his locker. Inspired by Young Thug and driven by a desire to stand out, CKG embraced fashion as his true calling after his basketball dreams didn’t pan out. “I always wanted to be different,” he said. “Even if they said Thug dressed feminine, I didn’t care. That’s what made him stand out.”

Now, he operates private pop-up shops on campuses like Wake Forest, Nebraska, and Illinois. These exclusive events are tailored for athletes, by invitation only. “Some athletes don’t want to be next to a drug dealer or somebody random,” CKG said. “It’s all about comfort and professionalism.”

Many of his clients set monthly budgets, with some spending $12,000 or more. “They don’t even ask what it is,” he said. “I just ship it to them.” That level of trust is rare and earned. “It’s more of a flex to say you shopped with me. I’m not worried about people saying they only spent $200.”

When it comes to style, CKG leans into the unexpected. “I don’t want to match that’s the point. People look and say, ‘What he got on?’ But then they realize it doesn’t match, and it still looks right.”

Looking ahead, CKG is ready to scale. “It’s getting tiring for me, but I still love it,” he admitted. “By January, I want to have five people hired just to travel so I can fall back a little and get them paid too.”

For young creatives, his message is clear: “Don’t follow what’s trending. Follow what you want to do. That’s how you stand out.”
