At Concealed Media we pride ourselves on shining a light on those who have been putting in the work and putting on for the Carolinas. A few weeks ago the crew caught up with Salisbury’s own Trap Swagg to talk about his what it was like for him growing up, working with artist like Stunna4Vegas and Sauce Walker, his partnership with the Carolina Panthers, balancing his career and being a father, relationships and more.
With viral hits like ‘Havin’, ‘392’, and ‘2 or More’, although he has only been doing music about four years, Trap Swagg has shown he knows how to make a hit. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in music Trap said, he would always get in the booth and play around but he didn’t take it seriously until he had a few run-ins with the law and he got shot.
“I would go in there and f*ck around but I didn’t really f*ck with it but it was a lot of people telling me I needed to start rapping,” he said. “But then sh*t got hot so I said I’m about to start rapping…to be real I got shot and sh*t had got too hot so I turned to rapping.”
